0W-20 longlife oil for VW 508.00/509.00 and Porsche C20 with blue oil characteristic and a focus on maximum efficiency.
0W-20 Super LF-IV 508.00/509.00 BASIC is designed for modern VW Group vehicles where VW 508.00 and 509.00 approvals are mandatory. The oil combines very low viscosity with a longlife focus, targeting the latest engine generations with strict efficiency and emissions requirements.
Unlike older longlife oils, this product is not intended as a universal backward-compatible replacement. Its technical focus is clear: maximum fuel efficiency, clean exhaust aftertreatment, and precise matching for modern 0W-20 applications in VW and Porsche C20 environments.
For compatible vehicles, this is a highly precise OEM solution with deliberately narrow approval positioning.
Suitable for current VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, and selected Porsche applications requiring VW 508.00/509.00 or Porsche C20. Not intended for older 504.00/507.00 applications.
Is 0W-20 Super LF-IV BASIC backward compatible with VW 504.00/507.00?
No. The approval profile explicitly indicates this.
Why is this oil so specific?
Because the 508.00/509.00 specification is technically much more narrowly defined than older, more widely used longlife profiles.
Who is the BASIC profile intended for?
For vehicles that require exactly this OEM profile and where no older longlife specification is specified.
