10W-40 low-friction engine oil for petrol and diesel vehicles without longlife requirements, with a broad A3/B4 application range.
10W-40 DBV low-friction engine oil is a classically robust all-season oil for petrol and diesel vehicles without extended service intervals. It is based on HC-synthesis base oils and targets drivers and workshops looking for a durable 10W-40 with a broad A3/B4 profile.
This oil grade remains especially relevant for existing vehicles: it is robust, cost-effective, and reliably covers many typical applications in conventional passenger cars. It combines good cold-start behavior with strong reserves at operating temperature.
For vehicles without specific DPF requirements and without strict longlife specifications, it is often the more practical choice compared to highly specialized low-SAPS alternatives.
Suitable for petrol and diesel engines with or without turbocharging where ACEA A3/B4, API SN and classic manufacturer requirements such as Renault RN 0700/0710, PSA B71 2300 or MB 226.5 apply.
Who is 10W-40 DBV low-friction engine oil for?
For conventional petrol and diesel vehicles without extended service intervals that require a solid 10W-40 A3/B4 oil.
Is this oil suitable for turbo engines?
Yes, provided the manufacturer’s viscosity and specification requirements are met.
Why is 10W-40 still relevant on the market?
Because many existing vehicles still require this oil grade and operate reliably with it.
