HLP ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil for many industrial and mobile systems with classic all-round viscosity and high load capacity.
HLP ISO VG 46 is a classic all-round viscosity grade in hydraulic applications. It is designed for many industrial and mobile hydraulic systems where wear protection, corrosion protection, and thermal stability are required alongside a robust mid-range viscosity.
In everyday machine operation, ISO VG 46 is often the standard because it combines stable lubrication film performance with broad temperature suitability. This makes it a practical choice for many systems.
For suitable applications, HLP 46 is therefore a proven workhorse among hydraulic oils.
Suitable for industrial and mobile hydraulics where DIN 51524 Part 1/2, ISO 11158 HM, or an HLP 46 viscosity grade is required.
Why is ISO VG 46 so widely used?
Because this viscosity grade offers an excellent compromise for many standard hydraulic systems.
Is HLP 46 suitable for mobile hydraulics?
Yes, provided the temperature range and manufacturer specifications are met.
When should HVI 46 be chosen instead of HLP 46?
In cases of strongly fluctuating ambient temperatures or when a higher viscosity index is required.

All types of containers should ideally be stored under cover. If stored outdoors without protection, containers should be kept horizontal to prevent water ingress and preserve label readability. Products should not be stored at temperatures above 60 °C and must be protected from direct sunlight and frost.
