HVI ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil with a high viscosity index for hydraulic systems exposed to strongly fluctuating ambient temperatures.
HVI ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil is designed for hydraulic systems that require stable viscosity behavior even under strongly fluctuating ambient temperatures. The high viscosity index makes this product particularly suitable for mobile machinery, outdoor applications, and hydraulic systems with a wide operating temperature range.
Compared to classic HLP 46, an HVI oil reacts more consistently to temperature changes. This ensures more controlled response during cold starts without excessive loss of lubricating film at operating temperatures.
For mobile hydraulics and demanding climate conditions, HVI 46 is often the technically better choice.
Suitable for hydraulic systems operating across varying temperature ranges where DIN 51524 Part 3, ISO 11158 HV, or an HVLP/HVI-46 profile is required.
What is the difference between HLP 46 and HVI 46?
HVI 46 has a higher viscosity index and behaves more consistently under temperature changes.
When is HVI 46 particularly suitable?
For mobile machinery and applications combining cold starts with sustained high operating temperatures.
Is HVI 46 automatically better?
No, it is more specialized. The key factor remains the requirements of the system and manufacturer.
